AN ACT concerning

Housing and Community Development - Maryland Housing Fund - Special Housing

Facility Projects

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Maryland Housing Fund to provide credit
enhancements for certain types of housing projects; requiring the Department to
establish eligibility standards for credit enhancements for certain types of housing
projects; defining a certain term; and generally relating to the Maryland Housing
Fund.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(J) "SPECIAL HOUSING FACILITY PROJECT" MEANS THE ACQUISITION,
REHABILITATION, IMPROVEMENT, RENOVATION, CONSTRUCTION, OR FINANCING
OR REFINANCING OF A BUILDING THAT:

(1)     WILL PROVIDE COMMON, SHARED, OR INDEPENDENT LIVING,
DINING, KITCHEN, SANITARY, AND SLEEPING FACILITIES;

(2)     MAY INCLUDE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES OR SUPERVISORY LIVE-IN
PERSONNEL FOR PERSONS WITH SPECIALIZED HOUSING NEEDS; AND
