DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Subsection (e) of this section is amended to reflect the establishment of the
Department of State Police as a principal department of State government by
Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994 and to delete surplus language.

18-213.

(a) (3) "Law enforcement officer" means any person who, in an official
capacity, is authorized by law to make arrests and who is a member of one of the following
law enforcement agencies:

(i) The DEPARTMENT OF [Maryland] State Police;

Subsection (a)(3)(i) of this section is amended to reflect the establishment of
the Department of State Police as a principal department of State government
by Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994 and to delete surplus language.

18-213.2.

(a) (8) "Law enforcement officer" means any individual who, in an official
capacity, is authorized by law to make arrests and who is a member of one of the following
law enforcement agencies:

(i) The [Maryland] DEPARTMENT OF State Police;

the Department of State Police as a principal department of State government

19-347.

(a) (3) "Law enforcement agency" means the DEPARTMENT OF [Maryland]
State Police or a police agency of a county or municipal corporation.

Article - Health Occupations

18-301.

(e) The exceptions of subsection (b)(1) of this section do not apply to individuals
who are employed by the Department, a county health department, the Baltimore City
Health Department, THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE POLICE, or the Department of Public
Safety and Correctional Services after July 1, 1985. An individual who is employed by any
