of Article - Natural Resources of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be
Section(s) 8-201, 8-202(a), (b), and (c), 8-203, and 8-204, under the amended subtitle
"Subtitle 2. Conservation and Management of State Waters - In General", respectively.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 6-601, 6-602,
and 6-603, respectively, of Article - Natural Resources of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 5-1701, 5-1702, and 5-1703, respectively,
under the new subtitle "Subtitle 17. Leasing of State Oil and Gas Resources".

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 6-104.2; 8-302,
and the subtitle "Subtitle 3. Interstate Water Compacts"; and 9-501 through 9-507, and
the subtitle "Subtitle 5. Phragmites Management and Control", respectively, of Article -
Natural Resources of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s)
8-1817 and 8-301 under the amended subtitle "Subtitle 3. Interstate Compacts and
Agreements"; and 8-2101 through 8-2107, and the subtitle "Subtitle 21. Phragmites
Management and Control", respectively.

SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 8-602 and the
subtitle "Subtitle 6. Well Drilling and Well Drillers", and 8-1211 of Article - Natural
Resources of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed.

SECTION 7. 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

(A)    IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B)     "ADMINISTRATION" MEANS WATER MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION.

(C)     "APPROPRIATE COUNTY GOVERNING BODY" MEANS THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ANY NONCHARTERED COUNTY OR THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANY CHARTERED COUNTY IN WHICH A PORTION OF THE WATERSHED IS LOCATED.

(D)    "COUNTY" INCLUDES BALTIMORE CITY UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.

(E)     "DEPARTMENT' MEANS DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT.

(F)     "DIRECTOR" MEANS DIRECTOR OF THE WATER MANAGEMENT
ADMINISTRATION.

(G)    "PERSON" INCLUDES THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE STATE, ANY
COUNTY, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE
STATE, OR ANY OF THEIR UNITS, OR AN INDIVIDUAL, RECEIVER, TRUSTEE,
GUARDIAN, EXECUTOR, ADMINISTRATOR, FIDUCIARY, OR REPRESENTATIVE OF
ANY KIND, OR ANY PARTNERSHIP, FIRM, ASSOCIATION, PUBLIC OR PRIVATE
CORPORATION, OR ANY OTHER ENTITY.
