(a)     No unauthorized person may sell or purchase federal [food coupons] FOOD
STAMP PROGRAM BENEFITS.

(b)     No person may knowingly buy or sell merchandise which has been purchased
with federal [food coupons] FOOD STAMP PROGRAM BENEFITS.

(c)     Any person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000, or imprisonment not
exceeding six months, or both.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Somerset County - Volunteer Fire Companies - Appropriations

FOR the purpose of altering the amount that the County Commissioners of Somerset
County are required to appropriate to various volunteer fire companies; increasing
required appropriations over a certain period; providing that certain amounts are
applicable for subsequent fiscal years unless modified; providing for the effective
date of this Act; and generally relating to County funding for volunteer fire
companies in Somerset County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) (1) The County Commissioners shall appropriate and levy annually
