Ch. 457                                    1995 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(E) A STUDENT AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS SECTION TO PRACTICE
BARBERING WITHOUT A LICENSE SHALL CONSPICUOUSLY DISPLAY A LETTER OF
AUTHORIZATION, AS REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION, AT THE STUDENT'S WORK
STATION IN THE SPECIFIED LICENSED BARBER SHOP.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

(House Bill 910)

AN ACT concerning

Environment - Water, Ice, and Sanitary Facilities - Refuse Disposal Systems

FOR the purpose of redefining the term "refuse disposal system" in provisions relating to
regulation by the Department of the Environment; identifying certain facilities to be
included in the definition; deleting a certain term from the definition; and generally
relating to refuse disposal systems.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 9-201(e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1993 Replacement Volume and 1994 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Environment

9-201.

(e) "Refuse disposal system" includes:

(1)     An incinerator;

(2)     A transfer station;

(3)     A landfill system;

(4)     A landfill; [and]

(5)      [Any other refuse disposal system] A SOLID WASTE PROCESSING
FACILITY; AND

(6)     ANY OTHER SOLID WASTE ACCEPTANCE FACILITY.
