Ch. 274 1995 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(I) HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE
HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION; AND
(II) HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS THAT RENDERED HEALTH CARE
SERVICES TO MEMBERS OF THE HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION UPON
REFERRAL FROM A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE
HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION; AND
(III) A HOSPITAL.
(h) (1) A health care provider may not assert a claim of subrogation against:
(i) A member of an insolvent health maintenance organization; or
(ii) Against any individual, organization, or government agency which
has made payments to the health maintenance organization on behalf of a member.
(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1) of this subsection, a health care provider
may assert any claim it may have against the receiver of the insolvent health maintenance
organization.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland Milk Commission
Task Force on Maryland's Dairy Industry
FOR the purpose of establishing a Maryland Milk Commission Task Force on Maryland's
Dairy Industry; specifying the membership of the Commission responsibilities of the
Task Force; and the terms of the members; authorizing the Governor to remove a
member under certain circumstances; authorizing the Governor to appoint an
Executive Director to the Commission; providing that the Attorney General is the
legal advisor to the Commission; providing for the appointment of a certain Counsel
to the Commission; authorizing the Commission to perform certain acts; specifying
the duties of the Commission Task Force; requiring distributors of milk in this State
to be licensed by the Commission; authorizing the Commission to renew, revoke, or
suspend a license; providing for certain civil penalties for a violation of this title;
specifying that certain moneys shall go into the General Fund of the State;
establishing a Maryland Milk Commission Fund; authorizing the Commission to
collect a certain fee from licensees; authorizing the Commission to set the amount
of the fee to cover certain expenses of the Commission; requiring the Commission to
deposit certain moneys into the Maryland Milk Commission Fund; providing for
