2.       It contains no less than 15 rooms OR, IF A BED AND
BREAKFAST-TYPE FACILITY, 8 ROOMS;

3.       It contains a dining room with facilities for preparing and
serving full-course meals for at least 50 persons at one seating; and

4.       The capital investment in the hotel or motel facility is not
less than $400,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October June 1, 1995 is an emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public health and safety, has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take
effect from the date it is enacted.

AN ACT concerning

Charitable Solicitation

FOR the purpose of clarifying that certain organizations must be declared tax-exempt by
the federal government to be exempt from the Maryland Charitable Solicitations
Act; specifying certain civil penalties and relief that a court may order; prohibiting
certain transmissions for charitable solicitation purposes under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to charitable solicitation.
