Assembly of Maryland heretofore passed authorizing the County to borrow money are
hereby continued to the extent that the powers contained in such Acts have not been
exercised, and nothing contained in this Act may be construed to impair, in any way, the
validity of any bonds that may have been issued by the County under the authority of any
said Acts, and the validity of the bonds is hereby ratified, confirmed, and approved. This
Act, being necessary for the welfare of the inhabitants of Washington County, shall be
liberally construed to effect the purposes hereof. All Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SECTION 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning
Frederick County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Class B Bed and Breakfast Hotels)
FOR the purpose of permitting in Frederick County a special Class B beer, wine and
liquor license for hotels that are bed and breakfast-type facilities that have a certain
number of rooms; providing for the effective date of this Act making this Act an
emergency measure; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages in Frederick
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
6-201.
(1) (3) (i) Any bona fide hotel or motel may obtain a special Class B
(on-sale) beer, wine and liquor license issued by the Board of License Commissioners
providing:
1. It is an establishment for the accommodation of the public
providing services ordinarily found in bona fide hotels and motels;
