(House Bill 712)

AN ACT concerning

Public Ethics - Enforcement - Payment of Fines

FOR the purpose of clarifying that any fines imposed by the court for violation of the
Public Ethics Law are to be paid to the State Treasurer and deposited in the general
fund.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 15-902(a)(2)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Government

15-902.

(a) The court may:

(2) impose a fine not exceeding $5,000 for a violation of this title, with each
day that the violation occurs being a separate offense, AND WHICH SHALL BE PAID TO
THE STATE TREASURER AND DEPOSITED IN THE GENERAL FUND; or

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Juvenile Services - Reimbursement for Foster Parents

FOR the purpose of increasing the amount the Secretary of Juvenile Services may
reimburse a foster parent for costs of bodily injury or property damage caused by a
foster child, without approval of the Board of Public Works; and generally relating
to juvenile services liability insurance and reimbursement for foster parents.
