Peter G Lecompt          Be it remembered and it is hereby
Exd   from         85        recorded that the following Bill of sale
Durham Clash negro      was received and recorded this 25.th day of February
                                     1852               Know all men by these presents
that I Derham Clash of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars Current
Money to me in hand paid by Peter G Lecompt of Dorchester County
in the said state at and before the sealing and delivering of
these presents the receipt whereof I the said Durham Clash
do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and
by these presents do grant bargain sell unto the said Peter
G Lecompt his executors administrators and assigns all the
Goods household stuff implements and furniture hereinafter
particularly mentioned that is to say One Black horse 2 Yoke Oxen
1 Ox Cart One red heifer 15 barrels Corn 1 sow 10 hogs 600 weight of Bacon
15 hundred lbs blade fodder 1 white back Cow 30 Chickens 3 Turkeys
6 geese 1 plough 1 harrow all and singular which said goods and
Chattels are now remaining standing and being in a certain messuage
on Tenement situated in said county and now in the occupation
of the said Derham ^Clash^ To have and to hold all and singular the
said goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises
above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be
to the said Peter G Lecompt his executors administrators and assigns
forever and I the said derham Clash for myself my heirs executors
and administrators all and singular the said goods household
stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said
Peter G Lecompt his executors administrators and assigns against
me the said Derham Clash my executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall
and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all
and singular said goods household stuff and furniture
and other the premises   I the said Derham Clash have put
the said Peter G Lecompt in full possession by delivering to him
the said Peter G Lecompt one Black horse at the sealing and
delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said Peter
G Lecompt as aforesaid   In witness whereof the said derham Clash
hath hereunto set his hand and seal the 25.th day of February 1852
