35. the within Indenture or instrument of writing to be her Act and deed according to the true intent and meaning of the same. Jones (J P) Mary Jones Be it remembered that the following Bill from Ex.d of sale was recorded November 24.th 1847, To wit: Christopher Sinclair Know all men by these presents that I Christopher Sinclair of Baltimore City aged state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United States in hand paid by Mary Jones (coloured woman) at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Mary Jones Colourd woman) her Executors, Administrators & Assigns A negro woman named Juliann Thompson and her female child the mother aged about twenty two years and the child aged about two years to serve her the said Mary Jones col.d woman, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns for the term of two years from and after the date of these presents and at the expiration of the said two years then the said Negro Juliann Thompson and her female child to be entitled to their freedom and the said Mary Jones, her Executors Administrators and Assigns are hereby bound to set them at liberty accordingly To have and to hold the said Negro woman Juiliann Thompson and her female child to the said Mary Jones, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever And I the said Christopher Sinclair for myself, my heirs, Executors and Administrators the said Negro Juliann Thompson and her female child unto the said Mary Jones, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns against me the said Christopher Sinclair my Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
