Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:  On the Eighteenth day of
March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty one,
personally appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace in & for said
County, the within named William Rea and acknowledged the within
Bill of sale to be his act & deed, according to the purport, true
intent & meaning of the same   And at the same time came
before me Sarah A. LeCompte within mentioned, and made Oath
on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the consideration set
forth, according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly
of 1846, Chapter 271, made and provided.
Acknowledged before                        Charles Corkran.


W.m H. Mills      Be it remembered that the following Bill of sale
Ex.d from   75     was recorded on the 20.th day of March 1851, To wit:
W.m Mills           $116.00.  Know all men by these presents that I
Paid                    William Mills of Dorchester County in the State of
Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of $116.00, one hundred
and sixteen dollars, current money, to me in hand paid by William
Henry Mills, of the County & State aforesaid, at and before the sealing
and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof I, the said William
Mills, do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold, and
by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said William
H. Mills, his Executors, Administrators & Assigns, All the goods,
Household stuff, implements & furniture particularly mentioned, expressed
& contained as follows - 4 Beds, Bedsteads & furniture,
2 Cows & Calves, 1 Heifer, 1 black Horse called Jim Crow, 1 Horse Cart
all and singular which said goods & chattels are now remaining
standing & being in a certain dwelling and Out houses and the
premises now occupied by the said William Mills above bargained &
sold, or mentioned and intended so to be to the said William H. Mills
his executors, administrators & Assigns forever   And I, the said
William Mills, for myself, my heirs, executors & Administrators,
all & singular the said goods, house hold stuff & furniture &
other the premises, unto the said William H. Mills, his Executors,
Administrators & Assigns, against me the said William Mills,
my Executors & Administrators, and against all and every other person
or persons whatsoever, shall & warrant and forever defend by
these presents, of all singular which said goods, household stuff &
furniture and other articles on the Premises, I, the said W.m Mills,
have put the said W.m H. Mills in full possession by delivering to
him the said W.m H. Mills 1 Bed & furniture, 1 Horse & cart,
at the sealing & delivering of these presents in the name of the
