3. Woman Tilla being of the age of twenty five or six years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and Maintenance and her the said Negro Woman named Tilla I declare to be henceforth free, manumitted & discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me, my Executors or administrators forever. On the 17.th day of April Anno Domini 1847 then Came before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County William Rea and acknowledged the within and aforegoing manumission to be his Act and deed according to the purport, true intent and meaning of the same and the Acts of Assembly in such case made and provided. Acknowledged before me W.m W. LeCompte J. P. William M. Robinson Be it remembered that the following Bill of to from Ex.d Sale was recorded on the 11.th day of May 1847. William Rea Know all men by these presents that I William M. Robinson Adm.r of Samuel Griffin for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid by William Rea have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said William Rea Negro Woman named Hannah aged twenty nine years to be free January the 1.st Eighteen hundred and fifty three sound in body and mine To have and to hold the said Negro woman servant for the term aforesaid according to William M. Robinson's will as above bargained and sold unto the said William Rea, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against me the said Samuel B. Robinson adm.r aforesaid my heirs, executors and Administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and defend. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of May 1847. Test W.m W. LeCompte W.m M.
