294. current money, and to secure the payment thereof is willing to execute these presents Now This Indenture Witnesseth, that the said Hugh Maguire for and in consideration of the Premises, and for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars, current money, to him in hand paid by the said William W. Crawford, at or before the sealing & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said Hugh Maguire doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof & therefrom doth acquit, release, exonerate & forever discharge the said William W. Crawford, his heirs, executors and Administrators, and every of them, by these presents hath granted, bargained & sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain & sell, unto William W. Crawford, his Executors, Administrators & Assigns, Negro Woman Mary, hereinafter particularly mentioned, that is to say, Negro Woman Mary afsd twenty eight years: To have and to hold all & singular the said Negro Woman Mary, herein before granted, bargained & sold, or mentioned or intended so to be, unto the said William W. Crawford, his Executors, Administrators & Assigns, to the only proper use & behoof of the said William W. Crawford, his executors, Administrators and Assigns forever; Provided Always, and these presents are upon this condition, that if the said Hugh Maguire, his executors or Administrators, shall and do well & truly pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said William W. Crawford, his executors, Administrators or Assigns, the full sum of one hundred & ninety three dollars and eight cents, current money, with legal interest for the same, on or before the first day of December in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & fifty one, then and in such case these presents and every matter & thing herein contained shall cease, determine and be utterly void to all intents & purposes, any thing herein contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding And the said Hugh Maguire, for himself, his heirs, executors or Administrators, or some or one of them, shall & will well & truly pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said William W. Crawford, his executors, Administrators and Assigns, the said sum of one hundred & ninety three dollars & eight cents, together with interest for the same, at such time as in the within recited premises and condition herein mentioned & appointed for the payment thereof And the said Hugh Maguire, for himself, his executors & administrators, all & singular the said Negro Woman Mary, by these presents granted, bargained & sold, and every part thereof, unto the said William W. Crawford, his executors, Administrators & Assigns, against him the said Hugh Maguire, his executors, administrators, and against all & every other person and persons whatsoever shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents.
