said obligation mentioned with interest thereon as also in teh said obligations mentioned then and
in such Case these presents and every matter and thing herein Contained shall cease determine and
be utterly void to all intents and purposes any thing herein Contained to teh Contrary notwithstanding
In Witness whereof the said Mary Kennard has hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal

Maryland Dorchester County Sct.  Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this sixteenth
day of June in teh year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty before the subscribers
two Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County aforesaid personally
appears Mary Kennard free Coloured woman she being known to us to be the person
who is named and described as and professing to be a party to the aforegoing Mortgage or
indenture and doth acknowledge the same to be her act and deed   And at the same time
and place also appeared before us Ulysses Hugunen the Mortgagee in teh said Mortgage
or indenture named and made oath that the Consideration set forth in the said Mortgage
is true and bonafide as therein set forth.                                       James Rea

Algernon Thomas                  Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on
Paid   Exam.d   from   55      the twenty ninth day of Sixty Anno Domini 1850, to wit:
Peter Brinsfield                     Know all men by these presents that I Peter Brinsfield of
                                            Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the
sum of Thirty Dollars current money to me in hand by Algernon Thomas of same County and
Sate aforesaid before the sealing of these presents have given granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do give bargain and sell unto the said Algernon Thomas his heirs and assigns
forever, all the following property to wit:  1 bed bedstead and furniture ½ dozen common stool
chairs, 1 desk and book case, 1 dining table, 1 Bow and bull yearling 4 head of hogs and one
wheel barrow To Have and to Hold the above property is bargained and sold unto teh said
Algernon Thomas his heirs executors or administrators and assigns forever against me the sid
Peter Brinsfield my heirs executors or administrators and against all persons whatever, will warrant
and defend   In Witness whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this twentyeth day of July
Anno Domini 1850.

Maryland Dorchester County, to wit:  On this twentieth day of July 1850 personally appeared before
me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for Dorchester County teh above Named Peter
Brinsfield and ackbnowledged the aforegoing Bill of Sale to be his act and deed for the purpose
therein named:  Also at teh same time appeared Algernon Thomas and Made Oath on the
Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the Consideration therein set forth is true and bona fide
as stated.
