day of February in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & fifty, personally appeared
before me, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, Robert B. Hazzard, and acknowledged
the within & foregoing Mortgage Bill of sale to be his act & deed, according to the purport,
true intent and meaning of the same, and the acts of Assembly in such made and
provided   And at the same time came before me, Justices as aforesaid, Govane Reddit
the Mortgage within named, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that
the consideration set forth in this Mortgage Bill sale is true & bona fide as therein
set forth, according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846 Chapter
271 in such made & provided.                  Acknowledged before      Charles Corkran


Levin Jones, J. P.      Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that the
Ex.d   from      140    following Mortgage Bill of sale was recorded on the
Geo. G. Harmon       21.st day of February in the year 1850, To wit:
                                 This Indenture made this twenty first day of
February in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & fifty, between
George G. Harmon of Dorchester   and state of Maryland of the one
part, and Levin Jones J. P. of Dorchester County & State aforesaid of the
other part   Whereas the said George G. Harmon owes & stands justly
indebted to the said Levin Jones J. P. in the sum of Twenty one hundred
and fifty seven dollars, current money, and to secure the payment thereof
is willing to execute these presents   Now this Indenture Witnesseth
that the said George G. Harmon, for and in consideration of the premises,
and for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars, current money
to him in hand paid by the said Levin Jones, J. P. at or before the
sealing & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said George
G. Harmon doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof & therefrom doth
acquit, release, exonerate and forever discharge the said Levin Jones J. P.
his heirs, executors and Administrators, and every of them by these presents,
hath granted, bargained & sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain
and sell, unto Levin Jones J. P. his executors, Administrators & Assigns
all & singular the within goods & Chattels, Crops, Stocks, provisions &c herein
after particularly mentioned and expressed, (that is to say) all the crop of wheat
seeded on said Harmon's Farm, one hundred Barrels of Corn in Corn-house,
one Bay Horse Martin, one Black Horse Bill, one sorrell Horse Dick,
one grey mare Ginny, one Bay Mare Rowene, one Bay Mare Polly, one Mule
colt Peter, one yoke Steers Sam & Lark, one ditto Bill & Ned, one ditto Drummond
and Buck, one ditto young unbroke white, one ditto white face and one dun,
seven milch Cows, six Heifers two years old, three steers two years old, eight
calves, thirty four shoots, three brood Sows with Pigs, Eight Sheep, one
waggon and gear, three ox Carts, one Horse Cart & gear, three cultivators,
three fluke Harrows, seven Plows & gear, three drag Harrows, one Hinge
Harrow, one Corn Coverer, one Sulkey, five Scythes & Cradles, one Threshing
Machine, seventy five Cords Wood cut in the Woods, one extra lot of
