166 the first day of January eighteen Hundred and forty nine as above bargained and sold unto the said Stanley Richardson his heirs Executors ^Administrators^ and Assigns against the said Edward Richardson his heirs Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend. In testimony whereof we Edward Richardson and Stanley Richardson have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the twenty ninth day of March in the year Eighteen Hundred and forty nine Signed sealed and delivered in presence of Edward Richardson (seal) James Hammersly Stanley Richardson (seal) Maryland Dorchester County To wit On the 29 day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight Hundred and forty nine Personally Appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County the within named Edward Richardson and Stanley Richardson and acknowledged the within Bill of Sale to be their Act and deed according to the purport true intent and meaning of the same and at the same time Came before me Stanley Richardson within mentioned and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the Consideration set forth in the Bill of Sale is true and bonafide as therein set fourth according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846 Chapter 271 made and provided Acknowledged before James Hammersly Edward Richardson Be it remembered that the following Bill of Ex.d from 65 sale was recorded on the 1.st day of April 1849, To wit: Robert R Richardson & Know all men by these presents that we Robert Stanley Richardson R. Richardson and Standley Richardson, Executors Paid of Nathan Richardson, of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars, current money, to us in hand paid by Edward Richardson of Dorchester County and state of Maryland have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said Edward Richardson, his heirs and Assigns, negro man Neerow Allen to serve two years and five months from the first day of January Eighteen hundred & forty nine slave for term of years as aforesaid and sound in body and mind. To have and to hold the said Negro man Nearrow Allen for the term of two years and five months as aforesaid from January the first Eighteen hundred & forty nine as above bargained & sold unto the said Edward Richardson, his heirs, executors, administrators & assigns, against the said Robert R. Richardson and Standley Richardson, Executors, our heirs, executors and Administrators, and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend. In testimony whereof we Robert R. Richardson & Standley Richardson & Edward Richardson, have hereunto set our hands & affixed seals this nineteenth day of March Eighteen hundred & forty nine Standley Richardson for Self & (seal) Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of Robert R.
