96 has to serve & that the said slave is to be free whenever she arrives to the age of thirty five years and that the said Female slave is not to be carried beyond the limits of the state of Maryland unless by order of Court of according to law witness our hand & seal this 11th of april 1843 Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of George H. Schleigh (seal) Charles Corkran Bernard M. Campbell (seal) Dorchester County to wit on this 11th of april 1843 appears before me the subscriber a justice of the peace for state of maryland & said county George H. Schleigh & Bernard M. Campbell & acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be their act & Deed Charles Corkran Clement H. Bramble Be it remembered that the following bill of sale Ex.d from was recorded on the 11th april 1843 to wit Jeremiah Bramble Know all men by these presents that I Jeremiah Bramble of Dorchester County and state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and sixty Five Dollars and Twenty one cents current money to me in hand paid by Clement H. Bramble of the county and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have Granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents do Grant Bargain and sell unto the said Clement H. Bramble his executors administrators and assigns three Horses one yoke of oxen one cart three cows and Two Yearlings thirteen head of sheep and Lambs more or Less Sevin Shoats Sows & Pigs and the crop of wheat oats & Flax on the Ground Eight Barrells of corn one thousand weight of Blades one carriage and harness three Beds and Furniture Twelve chairs one clock one safe Two Tables the ballance of the House hold and Kitchen Furniture and all the Farming utentials all which property is now in my possession To have and to hold the same discribed property above Bargained and sold to the said Clement H Bramble his executors administrators and assigns forever to his and their only proper use and benefits and I the said Jeremiah Bramble for my self my executors and administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents to the said Clement H. Bramble his executors administrators and assigns the said discribed property against me my Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person or persons claiming whomsoever claiming the same or any part thereof In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 4th day of April 1843 his Signed sealed and delivered Jeremiah + Bramble (seal) in the presence of mark Wm McMichael |
