Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these
presents of all and singular which property I the said
John C Jones have put the said WVM Edmondson in full
possession by delivering to him the said WVM Edmondson
one Brown Horse and the sealing and deling of these
presents in the name of the whole property or
premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned
or intended so to be unto the said WVM Edmondson
as aforesaid   In witness whereof I have hereunto
subscribed my name and affixed my seal this
thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight hundred and forty two
Signed sealed and
delivered in presence of            John C Jones   (Seal)

State of maryland Dorchester County to wit
Be it remembered that in this thirty first day of
December 1842 personally appeared John C Jones
the party Granted within named before me the
Subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the
said County and state and acknowledge the
within Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his
act and deed and the goods and chattels property
and other the premises therein mentioned and
thereby bargained and sold to be the right and
estate of the within named WVM Edmondson
the party granted also therein named his heirs
and assigns forever according to the purport true
intent and meaning of the said Bill of Sale
or instrument of writing and the acts of assembly
in such case made and provided  Taken and
certified the day and year above written

WVM Edmondson       Be it remembered that the following
Ex.d      from                Bill of Sale was recorded on 8 Jany
Josiah Hooper              anno domini 1843 to wit
Know all men by these presents that I Josiah
Hooper in the county and state of Maryland for
and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred
seventy five dollars ninety two cents cents now
Justly due unto WVM Edmondson of the county
