39 Maryland Dorchester county to wit On this 14th of January 1843 before me the subscriber one of the justices of the peace of Dorchester appears William Bestpitch and acknowledges the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided Richard Pattison J.P. Hiram W Woolford Be it remembered that the following bill E.d From of sale was recorded on 16th Jany 1843 to wit Robert Clark to wit Know all men by these presents that I Robert Clark of Dorchester county in the state of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty Dollars current money to me in hand paid by Hiram W Woolford of the county and state aforesaid at and Before the selling and delivering these presents the receipt whereof I the said Robert Clark do hereby acknowledge and by these presents do grant Bargain and sell unto the said Hiram W Woolford all of the following negroes to wit one negro woman Mariah and one Negro Girl mary and one negro Boy William To have and To hold all of the said Negroes unto the said Hiram W Woolford his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all incumbrances From me the said Robert Clark my heirs and assigns Forever or any other persons claiming the same either at Law or equity In witness whereof the said Robert Clark Hath Hearunto set his hands and affixed his seal the Fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Forty three Signed sealed and his delivered in pressence of Robert + Clark (seal) Richard Tall mark Maryland Dorchester County to wit Be it remembered and it is hearby Certified that on the Fourteenth day of January in the year our Lord Eighteen Hundred & Forty three before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the county aforesaid personally appeared Robert Clark party granted aforesaid within Bill of sale or instrument Righting and acknowledged the same to Be His act and deed and the property therein Bargained and sold to be the right and Estate of the within Hiram W Woolford according to the true intent and meaning of the same and the act of assembly in such case made and provided Taken and acknowledged Before Richard Tall |
