363 Thomas H. Hicks Be it remembered that the following Bill of Ex.d from Sale was recorded on the 9.th day of June 1846 Edward Ross Know all men by these presents that I Edward Ross of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of forty four dollars & eighty cents current money to me in hand paid by Thomas H. Hicks of Dorchester County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Edward Ross do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said Thomas H. Hicks, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns all the following goods and chattels, to Wit: Crop of wheat on the ground now growing where I now live, Crop of Corn on the ground now growing where I now live, one yearlin, 2 ploughs, 2 Harrows, one Desk, one large Walnut Dining Table, one large Milk house, all my Spades & hoes and pitch forks and all and singular which said goods & chattels are now in the possession of the said Edward Ross To have and to hold all & singular the said goods, Household stuff, furniture and crops and other the premises above bargained & sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Thomas H. Hicks, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever And I the said Edward Ross for myself, for my heirs, Executors and Administrators all and singular the said goods, House hold stuff and furniture and Crops and other the premises unto the said Thomas H. Hicks, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns against me the said Edward Ross, my Executors and Administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said goods, household stuff, furniture & crops and all other the Premises I the said Edward Ross have put the said Thomas H. Hicks in full possession of the above name goods, household stuff, furniture and Crops at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained & sold or mentioned and intended so to be so unto him the said Thomas H. Hicks as aforesaid, In Witness whereof I hereby set my hand and seal this 9.th day of June 1846. Test his W.m W. LeCompte Edward + Ross (Seal) mark State of Maryland Dorchester County, To wit: on this 9.th day of June Eighteen hundred and forty six before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County appeared Edward Ross and acknowledged the foregoing writing |
