Meekins W.m Kirby (L S) Dorchester County, To wit: On the 20.th day of April 1846 personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid John Muir and Samuel I. Meekins and made the following Oath, To wit: "We John Muir and Samuel I. Meekins subscribing Witnesses to the above Bond do make Oath that Walter Kirby, William Kirby and Samuel R. Dunnock obligors mentioned in the said Bond did severally in our presence sign, seal & deliver the said Bond as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Sworn before me on the day above mentioned. Robt Bell J. P. State of M.d Be it remembered that the following Bond Ex.d from was recorded on the 20.th day of April 1846, To wit: Thomas Wingate Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Constable Wingate, Levin Mowbray, Sam.l D. LeCompte and James B. Chaplain all of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 20.th day of April A. D. 1846. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Thomas Wingate shall well and faithfully execute the office of Constable in N.o 7 Election district in Dorchester County in all things appertaining thereto and shall also well and truly account for all moneys placed in his hands for Collection and shall also well and truly pay all sums of money received by him agreeably to "an Act of the General Assembly passed at November Session 1809 entitled an Act relating to Constables Bonds" and shall well and truly account for all money which he shall receive on Judgments and shall well and truly pay over the same and shall faithfully perform all acts which he shall perform in virtue of his office in the said County in the state of Maryland then the above obligation to be void else to remain in |
