above obligation is such that if the above bounden William B.
Dail appointed Collector of the Direct Tax under the Act of the Legislature
of the State of Maryland passed on the 10.th day of March 1842 Chapter
325 shall well and faithfully perform the duties required of him as Collector
by the act aforesaid or by law then the above obligation to be void or
else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law

of Dorchester County.  The within Bond approved by order
of the Board                     William Rea Clk C. D. C.


State of Maryland      Be it remembered that the following Bond was
       from      Ex.d       recorded on the 9.th day of June 1845, To wit:
W.m B. Dail &           Know all men by these presents that we William
G. W. Wingate           B. Dail & George W. Wingate of Dorchester County
                                  in the state of Maryland are held and firmly
bound unto the state of Maryland in the full and just sum of Seven
hundred and thirty four dollars and sixty six cents current money of the
United States to be paid to the said state or its certain Attorney to the
which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves
and each of us, our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators
jointly and severally firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals &
dated this ninth day of June in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred
and forty five.  The Condition of the above obligation is such
that if the above bounden William B. Dail appointed Collector for
Dorchester County shall faithfully collect and pay the sum of three hundred
and sixty four dollars and thirty three cents current money of the
United States into the Treasury of the state of Maryland on or before
the first day of July in the year of Our Lord eighteen hundred and
forty six to and for the use of the State then the above obligation to
be void or else to be and remain in full force & virtue in law
