24 Henry W Hicks Be it remembered that the following bill of Ex.d from sale was recorded on 9 Jany anno Daniel Sampson domini 1843 to wit Know all men by these presents that I Daniel Sampson of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and on consideration of the sum of Twenty five dollars current money to me in hand paid by Henry W Hicks of the county and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Daniel Sampson do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold unto the said Henry W Hicks his executors administrators and assigns all the goods herein after particular mentioned that is to say one Black mare and now in the occupation and remaining with the said Daniel Sampson To have and to hold the said mare above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Henry W Hicks his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Daniel Sampson for my self my heirs executors and administrators the said mare unto the said Henry W Hicks his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Daniel Sampson my executors administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents which said mare I the said Daniel Sampson have put the said Henry W Hicks in full possesion by delivering to him the said Henry W Hicks the said mare at the sealing and delivering of these presents the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended to be unto him the said Henry W Hicks as afresaid In witness whereof I the said Daniel Sampson have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of January in the year of our Lord 1843 his Witness John Robertson Daniel + Sampson (seal) State of Maryland Dorchester to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this seventh day of January in the year of our Lord 1843 before the subscriber a Justice of the of the State of Maryland in and for the said county personally appeared Daniel Sampson he being known to me to be the person who is named and discribed to be a party to his foregoing indenture and |
