bargained and sold, conveyed and transfered and by these presents do bargain & sell
convey and transfer unto the said Henry Bibby his heirs and assigns the following Negroes
to wit:  one negro man named John aged about 30 years, one negro man named
Garrison aged about 30 years, and one negro man named Jackson aged about 25
years slaves for life and warranted sound in body and ^in^ mind.  To have and to hold
the said above described Negroes unto the said Henry Bibby his heirs & assigns
to his and their sole use and uses forever:  Provided Nevertheless and it is the
true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that
if the said Isaac H. Andrews shall save the said Henry Bibby harmless from
all liability on account of the said Bibby's suretyship for the said Andrews on
a note due to John A. Scott administrator of Hugh Wingate for the purchase
of a Vessel and also save the said Bibby harmless from all liability on account
of all other suretyships for the said Andrews; then and in such case these presents
and every matter and thing herein contained shall be of no effect.  In Witness whereof
the said Isaac H. Andrews has hereunto set his name and affixed his seal this
twenty fifth day of July Eighteen hundred and forty four

                                Maryland sc   On this 25.th day of July 1844 before me the
subscriber one of the State of Maryland's Justices of the Peace in and for Dorchester
County personally appeared the within named Isaac H. Andrews and acknowledged the
uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the act of assembly in such cases
made and provided.   Acknowledged before                  Charles Corkran


Silas Fleming            Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded on
       from Her paid   the twenty Sixth day of August Anno Domini 1844 to wit
Galloway Webb       Know all men by these presents that I Galloway Webb of Dorchester
                                County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the Sum of
Twenty Six dollars and fifty Cents Current money to me in hand paid by Silas Fleming of County
and State aforesaid at and before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt
whereof I the said Galloway Webb do hereby Acknowledge, have granted bargained and
Sold and by these presents do grant bargain and Sale unto the said Silas Fleming
his executors administrators and assigns all the goods herein after particularly
mentioned that is to say one Bay mare Sally, one dark cow, one red heiffer yearling,
one red yearling, one red and brindle calf all and singular which said Goods
and chattels are now in the possession of the said Gallon Webb To Have and to
Hold all and Singular the Said Goods and chattels above bargained and Sold
or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Galloway Webb for myself my heirs
executors & administrators all and singular the said Goods and chattels unto the said
Silas Fleming his executors administrators and assigns against me the said
