190 eighteen hundred and forty three to serve untill he is thirty five years of age and all the issue of the said Mary Ann the males to serve untill thirty five years old and females to serve untill thirty years old And the said George Applegarth agrees to pay unto the said Brice J. Goldsborough the sum of Ninety dollars for the said Mary Ann and her son for the time aforesaid. Now the said Brice J Goldsborough hath by these presents bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said George Applegarth his heirs, executors, and administrators or assigns for the said sum of ninety dollars the said Negroes Mary Ann and her son for the said times respectively and have delivered the same in pursuance hereof. And the said Brice J. Goldsborough for himself his heirs, executors and administrators doth warrant and defend the title to the said George Applegarth his executors administrators or assigns in & to the said Negroes for the terms aforesaid by these presents As witness our hands and seals this seventh day of February Eighteen hundred and forty four Signed, sealed & delivered Brice J. Goldsborough (seale) in presence of John G. Abbott J. P. George Applegarth (seale) State of Maryland, Dorchester County sct on this Seventh day of February eighteen hundred and forty four personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace of the state and for the County afs.d Brice J. Goldsborough party Grantor and George Applegarth party Grantee to the within deed and acknowledged the within deed or instrument of writing to be their act and deed according to the Act of Assembly in such case made & provided Taken and Certified by me John G. Abbott J. P. Manumission Be it remembered that the following manumission was Anne Page recorded on the 6.th day of February 1844, To wit: to Ex.d Know all men by these presents that I Anne Page of Dorchester Sundry Negroes County for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have manumitted ^liberated^ and set free and by these presents do manumit, liberate and set free my negroes Moses aged twenty six, Isaac aged twenty two, Fanny aged twenty six, Mary aged thirty nine, Jane aged thirty, Horace aged twenty, Anne aged fifteen, Louisa aged thirteen, Mary Louisa otherwise called Susan aged Eleven years after they shall serve out the following terms as follows Jane & Isaac to serve each ten years, Moses to serve five years, Mary Louisa otherwise called Susan to serve fifteen years from the first day of January eighteen hundred & forty four.
