                                  Dorchester County To wit:
On the 19.th day of January Anno Domini 1844 the above named Joseph
Flint personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the
Peace in and for the County and state aforesaid and made Oath on the
Holy Evangely of Almighty God that he is a Citizen of the State of Maryland
and that he resides in Dorchester County and that the above is a true list
of the said Negro Slave called Phebe so removed and that he hath not removed
her into this State for the purpose of sale and that she is a slave for
life.   Sworn before                                          Charles Corkran



Stewart Vickers       Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
    from      Ex.d        was recorded on the 25.th day of January 1844.  To wit:
Robert Clark            Know all men by these presents that I Robert Clark of
                                Dorchester County state of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of thirty dollars to me in hand paid by Stewart Vickers
of the County and state aforesaid have bargained, granted and sold and by
these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the aforesaid Stewart Vickers
his heirs and assigns forever all the wheat crop or wheat that I have
seeded on the premises where I now reside one old walnut Desk one secretary
(one side Table Mahogany) Six Chairs, one Hand mill, one Bed, Bedstead and
furniture one lot of Pork about five hundred weight in the smoke house one
Loom and gears.  To have and to hold the above mentioned property unto the
said Stewart Vickers his heirs and assigns to the only use, benefit and behoof of
the said Stewart Vickers his heirs and assigns forever.  As Witness my hand
and seal this tenth day of January one thousand eight hundred and forty four
signed, sealed & delivered in the presence               his

       Maryland, Dorchester County To wit:             mark
on the 10.th day of January 1844 Personally appeared Robert
Clark before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said
County and acknowledged the above bill of Sale or instrument of writing
to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning of the
same.   Acknowledged before                              James Smith


James Thompson      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
    from      Ex.d        was recorded on the 29.th day of January 1844.  To wit:
John M. Davis          Know all men by these presents that I John M.
                                Davis of Dorchester County and state of Maryland
in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty dollars current
