176. property of Joel Cornwell as named therein. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the day of December in the year aforesaid George A. Z. Smith (seal) Thomas Storr Be it remembered that the following Mortgage Bill of Sale was Ex.d from recorded on the 25.th day of December 1843. To wit: William I. Storr Know all men by these presents that I William I. Storr of Dorchester County and state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and sixty nine dollars and fifty nine cents current money to me in hand paid by Thomas Storr of the County and state aforesaid at or before the ensealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said William I. Storr do hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Storr his executors, administrators and assigns one Negro Man Moses one Negro woman Mary one Boy Moses, one small child Ann Maria, Eighty Barrels of Corn Three Horses, two yoke of Stears, fifteen head of Cattle, twenty head of Hogs, nine head of Sheep, fifty Bushels of Oates, one Ox Cart & Waggon Wheels, eight top Stacks of fodder and five Stacks of Blade fodder, two ploughs and gear, two Harrows, two ox yokes, three axes, two Hoes, one Spade, the House hold and kitchen furniture and all the Pottery and now in my possession To have and to hold the said property to the said Thomas Storr for myself, my heirs executors and administrators, the aforesaid property to the said Thomas Storr his executors, administrators and assigns against me the said William I. Storr my executors and administrators and against all and every person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. Provided Nevertheless, that in case I the said William I. Storr shall pay and satisfy to the said Thomas Storr or to his executors administrators or assigns the sum of two hundred dollars current money with interest for the same on or before the fifteenth day of March 1844 and on or before the eighteenth day of May 1844 is to be paid one hundred and seventy four dollars and fifty nine cents and on or before the first day of January 1845 is to be paid one hundred and ninety five dollars then next ensuing then this bill of sale and every matter and thing therein expressed shall be void and of none effect it being the true intent and meaning thereof that the said property is mortgaged by me the said William I. Storr to secure to the said Thomas Storr the payment of the money aforesaid. In Witness whereof I the said William I. Storr have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 19.th day of December A. D. 1843. signed sealed & delivered in the presence of William I.
