174. state of Maryland, Dorchester County To wit: on this ninth day of December 1843 personally appeared me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said state and County Samuel Dunnock and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Acknowledged before Henry Shenton State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Resignation appointment from and Bond was recorded on the 19.th day of December 1843, To wit: W.m L. Drura to any two Justices of the Peace in and for Dorchester County Constable Being tired of the Constables office having too much business on hand to attend to, I do therefore resign the said office and recommend M.r William L. Drura to be appointed in my stead. Witness my hand and seal this 19.th day of December 1843 Levin Tulls (seal) We the subscribers two of the Justices of the Peace, in and for Dorchester County, by virtue of a supplement entitled "an Act for the establishment and regulation of the Levy Courts in the several Counties of this state", have appointed M.r William L. Drura Constable of Election District N.o 1 in the place of Levin Tull who has resigned. Witness our hands and seals this 19.th day of December 1843 To the Clerk of Dorchester County Court Charles Corkran (seal) James Rea (seal) Know all men by these presents that we William L. Drura, Jacob Willson and Elisha Owens of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid to the said state or its certain attorney; to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors & administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 19.th day of December 1843. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden William L. Drura shall well and truly execute the Office of Constable of Election district N.o one in all things appertaining thereto and shall also well and truly account for all monies placed in his hands for collection and shall also well and truly pay all sums of Money received by him then the obligation to be void otherwise of full force and virtue in law signed sealed & delivered William l.
