165. in my the said Robert Hardings occupancy. To have and to hold all and singular the said property above bargained and sold to the said W. V. M. Edmondson and his assigns forever. And I the said Robert Harding for myself, my heirs &C all and singular the said property unto the said W. V. M. Edmondson and his assigns against me the said Robert Harding, my heirs &C. and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said property I the said Robert Harding have put the said W. V. M. Edmondson in full possession by delivering to him the said W. V. M. Edmondson one pen knife, at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold as aforesaid. In Witness whereof I the said Robert Harding have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fourth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three. his Signed, sealed and delivered Robert X Harding (Seal) in the presence of Daniel Robinson State of Maryland, Dorchester County sc I hereby Certify that Robert Harding the party Grantee named in the foregoing Bill of Sale, did on this twenty fourth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three personally appear before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace, in and for the County and state aforesaid, and acknowledge the foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act and deed and the property therein mentioned and thereby bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within named W. V. M. Edmondson. Taken and certified the day and year first above written. William Newton Justice of the Peace George H. Wingate Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was from Ex.d recorded on the 2.d day of November 1843. To wit: Henry Pritchett Know all men by these presents that I Henry Pritchett of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars current money to me in hand paid by George H. Wingate of the same County & State at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said Henry Pritchett do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said George H. Wingate his executors, administrators and assigns one Steed named Tom and one Bridle and one Saddle. To have and to hold the said Horse, Bridle & Saddle above bargained and sold to the said George H. Wingate his executors and administrators and assigns forever. And I the said Henry Pritchett for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators the said Horse Tom and Bridle and Saddle unto the said George H. Wingate his executors administrators and assigns against me the said Henry Pritchett my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents |
