Samuel Webb and James      Be it remembered that the following bill of Sale
W Sherman                          was recorded 24th april 1843 to wit
        from            Ex.d          This Indenture made this tenth day of april
Francis Webb                       Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and
forty three by and between Francis Webb of Dorchester county and state of
maryland of the one part and Samuel Webb and James N Sherman both of the
county and state aforesaid of the other part whereas the said Samuel Webb and
James N Sherman as surities to and for the said Francis Webb have signed sealed
and delivered several notes of him or bills obligatory to sundry different persons
that is to say one note of hand or bill obligatory drawn and executed in favour
of and delivered to John Thompson Esqr for eight hundred dollars bearing date the
eight day of January anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight
one other note of hand or bill obligatory drawn and executed in favour of and
delivered to Henry Page Esqr as Trustee for the sale of the real estate of William
W Handley for fourteen hundred and fifteen dollars bearing date the 22.nd of
September 1840 also one other note of hand or bill obligatory drawn and executed
in favour of and delivered to Henry Page Esq Trustee as aforesaid for one thousand
dollars which said two notes of hand or bills obligatory were endorsed assigned and
transfered by the said Henry Page Trustee afsd to Wm Hester Handley widow of
said Wm W Handley also one other note of hand or bill obligatory drawn and
executed in favour of and delivered to Samuel Sewell for $108.94 cts bearing
date the 31st day of March ^1843^ and also one other note of hand or bill obligatory
drawn and executed in favour of Elijah Hurst and delivered to him for
six hundred dollars bearing date the 10th day of april 1843 to all of which
