116 Bond State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following bond was recorded 18 april 1843 to wit Ex.d from Know all men by these presents that we Levin Wingate William Wingate Levin Wingate and James Rea of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland are held & others and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand six hundred and sixty six dollars sixty six cents and two thirds of a cent current money to be paid to the said or its certain attorney To which payment well and truly to be made and done We bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this 18th day of April 1843 The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Levin Wingate will well and truly execute the office of Coroner in all things thereto belonging and shall also well and faithfully executed and return all writs or other process to him directed and shall also pay and deliver to the person or persons entitled to receive the same all sums of Money and Tobacco all goods and chattels by him levied seized or taken agreeably to the directions of the writ or other process under which the same shall have been levied seized or taken and also shall Keep and detain in safe custody all and every person and persons committed to his custody or by him taken in execution or who shall be commited for want of bail without suffering them or any of them to escape or depart from his custody and shall also satisfy and pay all judgements which shall be rendered against him as Coroner as shall also well and truly execute and perform the several duties required of or imposed upon him by the laws of this State Then this obligation to be void and of none effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law Signed sealed and delivered Levin Wingate (seal) in the presence of William Wingate (seal) Thomas Breerwood James Rea (seal) April the 18th 1843 The above bond was executed in my presence and sureties approved by me one of the Justices of the Orphans Court of Dorchester County Thomas Breerwood John W Crisfield Be it remembered that the following bill of Sale from exd was recorded 8 April 1843 to wit Thomas H Hicks this indenture made this eight day of April eighteen Robert Bell and hundred and forty three between Thomas H Hicks Elizabeth Bell Robert Bell and Elizabeth his wife all of Dorchester County of the one part and John W Crisfield of Somerset County of the other part whereas the said Robert Bell is indebted unto George W Lankford of Somerset County administrators of Henry Lankford in the sum of seven hundred and three dollars and twenty one cents for money paid by the said George adm as aforesaid the said Henry in his life time as the security of the said Robert Bell on his bond as administrator of Nathaniel Bell deceased as will appear by an account Stated between the said Robert Bell and Jo W Crisfield |
