29-421. SCOPE OF PART.

(A)     APPLICATION.

THIS SECTION APPLIES TO AN ALLOWANCE OF:

(1)      A RETIREE, FORMER MEMBER, OR SURVIVING SPOUSE OF A
MEMBER OF THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM OR THE TEACHERS'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM WHO IS SUBJECT TO SELECTION C (COMBINATION FORMULA);
OR

(2)      A BENEFICIARY OF THE RETIREE OR FORMER MEMBER DESCRIBED
IN ITEM (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION.

(B)     EXCEPTIONS.

THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO:

(1)      BENEFITS PAID IN A SINGLE PAYMENT; OR

(2)      THE RETURN OF ACCUMULATED CONTRIBUTIONS.
