A MEMBER MAY BE ENTITLED TO BENEFITS UNDER TITLE 29 OF THIS ARTICLE
OTHER THAN, OR IN ADDITION TO, THE BENEFITS PROVIDED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to provide a
cross-reference to other benefits to which a member of the Employees'
Pension System or the Teachers' Pension System may be entitled other than,
or in addition to, the benefits provided under this subtitle.

TITLE 24. STATE POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

SUBTITLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS.

24-101. SCOPE OF TITLE.

THIS TITLE APPLIES TO THE STATE POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

SUBTITLE 2. MEMBERSHIP.

24-201. MEMBERSHIP IN THE STATE POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM — SCOPE.

THIS SUBTITLE APPLIES ONLY TO:

(1)      A POLICE EMPLOYEE AS DEFINED IN ARTICLE 88B, § 2 OF THE CODE;
AND

(2)      A MARYLAND STATE POLICE CADET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 73B, § 6-101(f)(1) and (j).

This section is set forth as a scope provision instead of definitions since the
definitions of "State Police officer" and "[s]ervice" in former Art. 73B, § 6-101
served as scope provisions.
