Charter Amendment No. 1

A CHARTER AMENDMENT TO CORRECT AN ERRONEOUS
CROSS-REFERENCE AND TO DELETE EDITORIAL NOTATIONS

Resolution of the Council of Chevy Chase View adopted pursuant to Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland, Article 23A, Section 13 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, and the Charter of Chevy Chase View to amend Sections 7 and 9 of the
Charter of Chevy Chase View so as to correct editorial errors in the Charter adopted in
conjunction with the incorporation of Chevy Chase View as a town; more specifically, to
correct a cross-reference in Section 7 and to delete editorial notations in Section 9 that
applied to early drafts of the charter.

[Sections 7 and 9 of the Charter of Chevy Chase View, Montgomery County, as
found in the compilation of Municipal Charters of Maryland (1990 Replacement Edition
and 1993 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Charter Amendment No. 2

A CHARTER AMENDMENT TO CLARIFY THE REQUIREMENTS FOR
VOTING IN CHEVY CHASE VIEW ELECTIONS AND FOR HOLDING OFFICE

Resolution of the Council of Chevy Chase View adopted pursuant to Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland, Article 23A, Section 13 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, and the Charter of Chevy Chase View to amend Sections 2, 3(a) and 5(e) of
the Charter of Chevy Chase View so as to require that individuals must be eighteen (18)
years of age or older on the date of Chevy Chase View elections in order to vote in such
elections and that individuals must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to serve as
members of the Council or as secretary-treasurer.
