Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill 390.

This bill would amend Chapter 482 of the Acts of 1991, the Montgomery County Day
Care Center Loan of 1991, to extend until June 1, 1995 the time for the County Executive
and County Council of Montgomery County and the Foundation for Working Families,
Inc. of Montgomery County to provide evidence of a matching fund to the Board of Public
Works.

Senate Bill 62, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 2,
1994, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 390.

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County Day Care Loan of 1991

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 482 of the Acts of 1991, as amended by Chapter
257 of the Acts of 1992, the Montgomery County Day Care Center Loan of 1991, to
extend until June 1, 1995 the time for the County Executive and County Council of
Montgomery County and the Foundation for Working Families, Inc. of Montgomery
County to provide certain evidence of a matching fund to the Board of Public
Works.
