(T) FORMER MEMBER.

"FORMER MEMBER" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO:

(1)      HAS BEEN A MEMBER;

(2)      HAS SEPARATED FROM EMPLOYMENT WITH A PARTICIPATING
EMPLOYER; AND

(3)      IS NOT CURRENTLY A MEMBER OR RETIREE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly was Art. 73B, § 1-101(k).

The term "separated" is substituted for "withdrawn" to conform to Division I
of this article.

(U) JUDGES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

"JUDGES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM" MEANS THE JUDGES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to avoid repetition of
the longer title of the system.

(V) LEGISLATIVE PENSION PLAN.

"LEGISLATIVE PENSION PLAN" MEANS THE LEGISLATIVE PENSION PLAN OF
THE STATE OF MARYLAND AS PROVIDED BY THE JOINT RESOLUTION SUBMITTED TO
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY COMPENSATION
COMMISSION UNDER ARTICLE III, § 15 OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to avoid repetition of the
phrase "as provided in the Joint Resolution submitted to the General
Assembly by the General Assembly Compensation Commission under Article
III, § 15 of the Maryland Constitution".

The title "Legislative Pension Plan" is substituted for "Legislative Retirement
Plan" to reflect the use of the title in the most recent Joint Resolution. A copy
of the Legislative Pension Plan is published in an Editor's Note following Title
2, Subtitle 3 of the State Government Article.

(W) LOCAL FIRE AND POLICE SYSTEM.

"LOCAL FIRE AND POLICE SYSTEM" MEANS THE LOCAL FIRE AND POLICE
PENSION SYSTEM OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND.
