J.R. 10 1994 JOINT RESOLUTIONS
WHEREAS, The example that Senator Bernie Fowler has set in his long public
battle to improve the quality of the Patuxent River and. Chesapeake Bay has been nothing
less than inspirational, both as to its positive impact on our democratic principles and the
protection of our fragile environment for all the people of this State, especially our youth;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE. GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the
second-Sunday of June of 1994 is annually designated as "Senator. Bernie Fowler Day"
and that the Governor is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation calling upon
the citizens of Maryland to observe the day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and
activities to enjoy and encourage the preservation of the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent
River waters of this State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded by the Department of
Legislative Reference to the Honorable William Donald Schaefer, Governor of
Maryland; the Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., President of the Senate of
Maryland; and the Honorable Casper R. Taylor, Jr., Speaker of the House of Delegates.
