(2) RECORDATION TAXES COLLECTED BY THE DEPARTMENT FOR WHICH
THE STATUTORY RECORDATION TAX RATE WAS APPLIED UNDER § 12-103(E)(1)(III) OF
THIS TITLE SHALL BE REMITTED to the counties in the ratio that the recordation tax
collected in the prior fiscal year in each county bears to the total recordation tax collected in all
counties in that year.

12-112.

The Department may adopt regulations to administer the collection and remitting of
recordation tax for instruments of writing filed with the Department.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994 July 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Professional Counselors and Professional Counselors-Marriage and Family Therapists

Licensure

FOR the purpose of regulating professional counselors-marriage and family therapists under
the State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors; altering the membership of the
Board; requiring the Board to waive certain requirements under certain circumstances;
specifying the requirements for certification as a professional counselor-marriage and
family therapist; authorizing the use of a certain title and designation under certain
circumstances; specifying that certain provisions of law may not be construed to entitle
certain persons to certain reimbursement;
changing certain definitions; repealing
c
ertain definitions; defining certain terms; altering the composition and function of
the State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors; providing for
the licensure and regulation of marriage and family therapists; requiring a certain
m
ember of the Board to have a master's or doctoral degree in marital and family
th
erapy fulfill certain requirements; requiring the Board to waive the requirements
for lic
ensure as a licensed professional counselor or a licensed professional
counselor marriage and family therapist under certain circumstances; making
stylistic changes; and generally relating to the licensure of professional counselors

and marriage and family therapists the certification of professional

counselors-marriage and family therapists and the State Board of Professional
Counselors.
