1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(5)      The victim may designate, in writing to the Commission, the name and
address of a representative to receive notice for the victim.

(6)      The Commission shall promptly notify the victim or the victim's
designated representative of the decision of the Commission.

COMMITTEE NOTE:

This change resolves an inconsistency between the language of this section and the
language of Article 41, § 4-501(12) of the Code. The change essentially retains the
current law in this area. See Committee Note to Article 41, § 4-501(12) of the Code.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the changes that are made
to Article 27, § 643B of the Code by this Act shall apply prospectively only to defendants
who are sentenced after the effective date of this Act and may not be construed to apply
in any way to defendants who are sentenced before the effective date of this Act.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Committee Notes
contained in this Act are not law.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Psychologists - Licensure                 

FOR the purpose of authorizing the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists to
determine that an individual meets the qualifications educational requirements for
a license to practice psychology if the individual meets certain requirements;
prohibiting the Board from limiting the number of times an individual may take a
certain examination under certain circumstances; terminating the Board's"
authorization to make this determination after a certain date; requiring an applicant
for a license to practice psychology to have a doctoral degree in psychology; defining
a certain term; and generally relating to the licensure of psychologists.
