(7)     Each member of the board:

(i) May not have:                       

1. Defaulted on the payment of any monetary obligation to the
nonprofit health service plan;

2. Been convicted of any criminal offense involving dishonesty
or breach of trust or any felony; or

3. Habitually neglected to pay debts; and

(ii) Shall comply with any other qualifications set forth in the bylaws of
the nonprofit health service plan.

(8)     A member may not be an immediate family member, as defined in [§
360A(a)(4) of this article] SUBSECTION (A)(3) OF THIS SECTION, of another board
member, an officer, or employee of the nonprofit health service plan.

(9)     The board shall elect a chairman of the board from among the members
of the board of directors.

(10)   The membership of the board shall represent the different geographic
regions of the State.

(e) The board shall notify the Commissioner of any member who attends less than
65% of the meetings of the board during any period of 12 consecutive months.             

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Pensions - Former Employees of Sanitary Commission

FOR the purpose of providing for the continuation of membership of certain former
employees of the Worcester County Sanitary Commission in a certain local pension
plan or its successor; excluding certain former employees of the Commission from
membership in the Employees' Retirement System or the Employees' Pension
System; providing for the effective dates of this Act; and generally relating to
pension benefits for certain former employees of the Worcester County Sanitary
Commission.
