Article 70B - Office on Aging

(a) The Director on Aging shall:

(18) With the advice and recommendation of the Commission on Aging,
submit [an annual] A report to the Governor and, subject to § 2-1312 of the State
Government Article, to the General Assembly on or before January 1 of each year[,
setting forth the] THAT INCLUDES:

(I)       A DESCRIPTION OF THE ELDERLY CITIZEN ACTIVITIES.
CENTERS IN EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION;

(II)     THE ALLOCATION AND USE OF FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE FOR
ELDERLY CITIZEN ACTIVITIES CENTERS; AND

(III)   THE results of any studies and [its] recommendations, if any, for
legislation; and

(a) There is a Private Sector Advisory Council established to:

(1)      Advise the Governor, the International Cabinet, and the General
Assembly on policies concerning the State's role in international trade, commerce,
tourism, direct foreign investment, and related international activities, including the
initiation of new programs or strategies to enhance the development of international
opportunities for Maryland citizens;

(2)      Foster coordination and communication between public entities and the
private sector involved in international activities;

(3)      Evaluate the effectiveness of State and local programs designed
primarily to promote or assist in international activities and make recommendations for
their continued improvement; and

(4)      Assess, and make appropriate recommendations, concerning changes in
federal programs designed to promote or assist in international activities.

(e)      The Maryland International Division shall provide the Council with the
necessary staff and support services.

(f)      (1) By December 1 of each year, the Council shall report on its activities to
the Governor and, subject to § 2-1312 of the State Government Article, to the General
Assembly and submit any recommendations as provided in subsection (a) of this section.

(2) THE REPORT SHALL INCLUDE RELEVANT INFORMATION ON
RELATED ACTIVITIES OF THE MARYLAND INTERNATIONAL DIVISION.
