1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(c)     (1) A teacher who has charge of a two-teacher school shall receive $200 for
each school year in addition to the salary required by subsection (a) of this section.

(2)     A school principal who holds a principal's certificate shall receive for
each year the following amount in addition to the salary required for teachers by
subsection (a) or (b) of this section for schools with the following number of assistant
teachers:

(i) 2 to 5 assistants........................................................................$ 300;

(ii) 6 to 9 assistants............................................................................500;

(iii) 10 to 19 assistants........................................................................700;

(iv) 20 to 29 assistants........................................................................900;

(v) 30 to 39 assistants.................................................................... 1,800;

(vi) 40 to 49 assistants.............................................................2,100; and

(vii) 50 or more assistants...................................................           ..           2,400.

(3)     For the purposes of this subsection, a principal of a school with 30 or
more assistants shall be employed on a 12-month basis. A principal of a school with 20 to
29 assistants may be employed on a 12-month basis and shall be paid $600 for each year
in addition to the increase required by this subsection.

(d)     (1) A school principal who holds a principal's certificate and who has
completed at least 1 year of required work beyond a bachelor's degree, shall receive for
each year the following amount in addition to the salary required for teachers by
subsection (a) of this section, for schools with the following number of assistant teachers:

(i)      1 assistant................................................................................ $ 400;

(ii)    2 to 5 assistants...........................................................................600;

(iii)   6 to 9 assistants........................................................................... 900;

(iv)    10 to 19 assistants.................................................................... 1,200;

(v)     20 to 29 assistants.................................................................... 1,500;

(vi)    30 to 39 assistants....................................................................2,500;

(vii)   40 to 49 assistants.............................................................2,800; and

(viii)  50 or more assistants............................................................... 3,100.

(2) For the purposes of this subsection, a principal of a school with 30 or
more assistants shall be employed on a 12-month basis. A principal of a school with 20 to
29 assistants may be employed on a 12-month basis and shall be paid $700 for each year
in addition to the increase required by this subsection.

(e)     (1) The salary of the position of aide I shall be $2,700.
