1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

[(f)](W) (1) [In] THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION APPLY ONLY IN
Washington County. [, upon the expiration of the terms of the commissioners in office on
June 1, 1961, the Governor shall appoint, in the manner hereinabove provided, one
commissioner for a term of two years, one for a term of four years and one for a term of
six years. Thereafter all]

(2)      ALL terms shall be for [six] 6 years and [not] THE TERMS OF THE
MEMBERS ARE STAGGERED AS REQUIRED BY THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
BOARD ON JANUARY 1, 1994.                                                                         

(3)      NO more than two of [said] THE appointees shall belong to the same
political party.

[(g)](X) (1) [In] THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION APPLY ONLY IN
Wicomico County. [, as of July 1, 1977, the]                                                        

(2)" THE Governor shall appoint three persons, subject to the approval of the
Senate, who [will] constitute the Board of License Commissioners [for Wicomico
County. One commissioner shall be appointed for a term of one year; one shall be
appointed for a term of two years; one shall be appointed for a term of three years.
Thereafter, all]. THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS ARE STAGGERED AS REQUIRED BY
THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ON JANUARY 1, 1994.

(3)      ALL terms [shall be] ARE for [two] 2 years.                           

(4)      One of the members of the Board shall be designated as its chairman.

[(d-2)] (Y) (1) [In] THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN Worcester County. [as,

of July 1, 1971, the]

(2)      (I) THE Governor [will] SHALL appoint three persons who [will]
constitute the Board of License Commissioners [for the county,] AND who [will] hold
office for terms of [two] 4 years each.

(II) THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS ARE STAGGERED AS REQUIRED
BY THE TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ON JANUARY 1, 1994.

(3)     The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate of
Maryland. [However, on July 1, 1977, at the end of the present terms, one member shall
be appointed for two years, one member for three years and one member for four years.
At the expiration of their respective terms they or their successors shall be appointed for
terms of four years each.]

(4)      One of the members of the Board [will] SHALL be designated as its
chairman.

[(2)] (5) (i) In addition to the regular members appointed to the Board,
the Governor shall appoint an alternate Board member.

(ii) The alternate Board member's term shall run concurrently with
the term of the regular members.
