AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Court Reporters

FOR the purpose of repealing a provision of law limiting the responsibility of the County
Commissioners of Charles County for the payment of the salary and other benefits
of court reporters for the Circuit Court for Charles County; requiring the Clerk of
the Circuit Court in Charles County to deduct from the collection fee for collection
of the recordation tax and pay to the Charles County Treasurer a certain amount for
salaries and benefits of the court reporters; allowing certain court reporters to
continue membership in the Employees' Retirement System or the Employees'
Pension System under certain conditions; requiring the County Commissioners of
Charles County to pay certain employer contributions to the Board of Trustees of
the Maryland State Retirement and Pension Systems; providing that certain court
reporters are eligible to participate in the county's pension system on transfer to
that .system under certain conditions; providing for the effective dates of this Act;
and generally relating to court reporters for the Circuit Court for Charles County.
