SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

32.

(A) IN THIS SECTION, "FIREARM" INCLUDES:

(1)      HANDGUN,         ANTIQUE         FIREARM,         RIFLE,         SHOTGUN,
SHORT-BARRELED SHOTGUN, AND SHORT-BARRELED RIFLE, AS THOSE TERMS ARE
DEFINED IN § 36F OF THIS ARTICLE;

(2)    PISTOL, REVOLVER, AND ANTIQUE PISTOL OR REVOLVER, AS THOSE
TERMS ARE DEFINED IN § 441 OF THIS ARTICLE;

(3)      ASSAULT WEAPON, AS DEFINED IN § 481E OF THIS ARTICLE;

(4) MACHINE GUN, AS DEFINED IN § 372 OF THIS ARTICLE; AND

(5) ANY OTHER FIREARM THAT HAS NOT BEEN MODIFIED TO RENDER
IT PERMANENTLY INOPERATIVE.
