(a) The Board:        .

(1)     shall appoint a superintendent and assistant superintendent of the Fund;
[and]

(2)      SHALL APPOINT OR EMPLOY ATTORNEYS TO ADVISE AND
REPRESENT THE FUND IN ALL LEGAL MATTERS AND, WHERE NECESSARY, TO SUE
OR DEFEND SUITS IN THE NAME OF THE FUND; AND

[(2)] (3) may employ other staff.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

Transient Vendors - Hearings

FOR the purpose of requiring that the Comptroller provide an opportunity for a hearing
before suspending or revoking the license of a transient vendor on certain grounds;
providing that the Comptroller may order summarily a certain stop sale or a certain
seizure of a transient vendor's goods or license in certain emergency situations;
requiring that the Comptroller provide an opportunity for a hearing before ordering
a certain stop sale or. a certain seizure of a transient vendor's goods or license;
altering a certain criminal fine for a transient vendor who conducts business without
a valid license; and generally relating to hearings before or, after the suspension,
revocation, or voiding of a transient vendor's license or the seizure of a transient
vendor's goods.
