Personnel Management System. This correction reflects long-standing Departmental practice
and the scope of former Article 64A, §§ 36 and 55(f) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1988 Replacement Volume and 1992 Supplement).
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety, has been
passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from the date it is enacted.

FOR the purpose of correcting throughout the Annotated Code cross-references that will
be rendered obsolete by Division II and Division III of the State Personnel and
Pensions Article; conforming terminology in certain provisions to the terminology in
the State Personnel and Pensions Article; making a certain technical correction in
the State Personnel and Pensions Article; repealing provisions of law that restrict
eligibility to purchase certain annuities under the Optional Retirement Program
and the Maryland Teachers and State Employees Supplemental Retirement Plans;
making stylistic changes; providing for the effects of this Act; providing for the
effective dates of this Act; and generally relating to Division II and Division III of
the State Personnel and Pensions Article.
