(4)] The State's Attorney [and each assistant State's Attorney] may NOT
engage in the private practice of law [so long as his private practices do not interfere with
his official duties].         

Article 25 - County Commissioners

51.

(h) The Caroline County Treasurer shall receive an annual salary of [$32,500]
$37,500 [and this]. THIS shall be [his] THE sole compensation for services performed by
[him of any character whatever] THE TREASURER, including [his capacity] SERVICES
PERFORMED as a tax collector and the issuer of licenses. The County Treasurer shall
devote full time to the duties of the office. Any fees, commissions or other compensation
paid to the County Treasurer pursuant to any other laws of Caroline County or the State
of Maryland shall be accounted for by the County Treasurer and paid into the general
funds of Caroline County. The County Treasurer shall be reimbursed for [his] expenses
as provided by the Standard State Travel Regulations.

Article 33 - Election Code

2-3.

(a) Each member of the boards of the several political subdivisions of the State
shall receive an annual salary of not less than the following amounts:

(6) Caroline County:

(i) President: [$2,000] $2,750.

(ii) Associate members: [$1,800] $2,500 each.

(iii) Members [may not receive additional salary or compensation]
SHALL BE REIMBURSED for expenses [related to election activities or matters occurring
within the county] INCURRED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS.

[(iv) If the County Commissioners approve and provide the necessary
funds, members may be compensated for actual expenses incurred in the performance of
official duties occurring outside the county.]

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-309.

(g) (1) The Sheriff of Caroline County shall receive [a] AN ANNUAL salary of
[$35,000 and an allowance for mileage in connection with his official duties and for
boarding and keeping prisoners at the county jail. He shall appoint a deputy, at a salary
of at least $2,800, and a matron-cook for the county jail, at a salary of at least $2,500. He
may appoint additional deputies with the approval of the County Commissioners as to
number and compensation; the County Commissioners of Caroline County may increase
the salary of the Sheriff, his deputies, and other employees in accordance with Article III,
§ 35 of the Constitution]:
