SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
155.
(g) In Caroline County:
(1) The chairman shall receive an annual salary of [$1,000] $1,750 and the
two associate members SHALL EACH RECEIVE an annual salary of [$900 each] $1,500.
The substitute member of the Board shall receive [$35] $50 for each day employed in the
actual discharge of [his] official duties [, not to exceed in any one year the sum of $350].
(2) The chairman, associate members and substitute member shall be
reimbursed for expenses incurred in the performance of their duties in accordance with
[State] Standard STATE Travel Regulations.
Article 10 - Legal Officials
40.
(a) The State's Attorneys in the several counties of the State shall receive
annually the respective salaries set forth for performing the duties required of them by
their respective public local laws and by the public general laws, and such expenses as are
provided by law and by the current practice in the several counties. The State's Attorneys
shall receive annual payments for office, traveling and other expenses. All payments for
salaries and expenses shall be made by the respective counties in equal monthly
installments unless otherwise specified. The salaries and expenses are as follows:
(f) In Caroline County, (1) the State's Attorney's ANNUAL salary is:
(i) [$45,000] $65,000 in [1991] 1995;
(ii) [$19,000] $67,000 in [1992] 1996;
(iii) [$52,000] $68,000 in [1993] 1997; and
(iv) [$55,000] $70,000 in [1991] 1998 and [thereafter] AND FOR
EACH SUBSEQUENT YEAR $70,000.
(2) The State's Attorney shall receive expenses as provided by the Standard
State Travel Regulations.
(3) [The State's Attorney may appoint, subject to the approval of the
County Commissioners, as many assistant State's Attorneys as are necessary and a
full-time investigator. The salary of the assistant State's Attorneys and the investigator
shall be set by the State's Attorney, subject to the approval of the County Commissioners.
